- 1 medium yellow onion, diced

- 1 pound lean ground turkey

- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1 cup frozen corn (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook onion and garlic: Add the diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Cook turkey: Add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
- Add seasonings and ingredients: Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
- Simmer: Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add corn if using during the last 10 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with desired toppings.
