- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk (room temperature)

Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk and beat until light and creamy.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake: Scoop dough into rounded tablespoons and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers look slightly soft.
- Cool and Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
