- 3–4 large sweet onions (such as Vidalia, sliced into 1/4-inch rings)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer onions: Layer sliced onions in the dish, drizzle with melted butter, season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and thyme if using.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses over the top.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
