Ingredients
Scale
Cheesecake Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
Assembly and Frying:
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Strawberry sauce or chocolate drizzle (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Cheesecake Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
- Assembly: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner facing you (diamond shape). Spoon 2 tablespoons of the cheesecake mixture into the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing the edge with a dab of water.
- Frying: Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Serving: Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with strawberry sauce or chocolate drizzle if desired.
Notes
- To bake instead of fry, brush the rolls with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through. You can also use whipped cream cheese for a lighter texture.
