Description

These Spinach Chicken Burgers are the ultimate healthy recipe, combining lean ground chicken with fresh spinach and flavorful seasonings for a delicious meal that’s easy to make and perfect for a nutritious dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the burgers:

  • 1 pound ground chicken (preferably lean)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or regular)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • olive oil or cooking spray (for grilling or pan-frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine: ground chicken, chopped spinach, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with olive oil or cooking spray.
  4. Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve on whole grain buns with your favorite toppings like avocado, tomato, lettuce, or a light yogurt-based sauce.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, you can add 1 tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt to the mix.
  • These burgers can also be baked at 375°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Freeze uncooked patties between parchment layers for quick meals later.
