Ingredients

Scale

Berry Mixture:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or a mix)

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Berries: In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook the berries for 5–7 minutes until they break down and become syrupy, stirring occasionally.
  2. Mash the Berries: Gently mash the cooked berries with a fork or potato masher to reach your desired texture.
  3. Add Chia Seeds and Sweetener: Remove the mixture from heat and stir in chia seeds, maple syrup or honey, and lemon juice if desired. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes to thicken.
  4. Chill and Store: Once thickened, transfer the jam to a jar or container. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
