Description

This Refreshing Peach Lemonade is a perfect summer drink combining ripe peaches and freshly squeezed lemon juice for a naturally sweet and tangy flavor. It’s a no-cook, vegan, and gluten-free beverage that can be served chilled over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices, lemon wedges, and mint leaves for an extra refreshing touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

Sweeteners

  • ½ cup honey or granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

Liquids

  • 4 cups cold water

Additional

  • 1 cup ice
  • Peach slices and lemon wedges for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Peach Puree: In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth to create a fresh peach purée.
  2. Strain Puree (Optional): Pour the peach purée through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp for a smoother texture, if desired.
  3. Mix Lemon and Sweetener: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey or sugar into the peach purée until fully dissolved, ensuring even sweetness.
  4. Add Remaining Water: Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the mixture and stir well to combine.
  5. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or sugar if needed.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and serve cold.
  7. Serve: Serve over ice cubes and garnish with peach slices, lemon wedges, and fresh mint leaves for an extra refreshing experience.

Notes

  • You can use frozen peaches if fresh ones aren’t available—just thaw them before use.
  • For a sparkling version, replace 1–2 cups of cold water with sparkling water just before serving to add fizz.
