Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin purée, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in buttermilk.
  4. Fold in dry ingredients: Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Prepare topping: In a small bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Sprinkle topping evenly over batter.
