Description

Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet and salty with these Peanut Butter Fritos Candy bars. Crunchy Fritos corn chips coated in a gooey peanut butter mixture, with an optional chocolate drizzle for added decadence. This easy, no-bake treat is sure to be a hit at any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale

Fritos Candy:

  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) original Fritos corn chips (about 4 cups)

Peanut Butter Mixture:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

Optional Chocolate Drizzle:

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Dish: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Layer Fritos: Spread the Fritos evenly across the bottom of the pan.
  3. Make Peanut Butter Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is bubbling. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the peanut butter until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Coat Fritos: Immediately pour the peanut butter mixture over the Fritos, spreading it evenly with a spatula to coat all the chips.
  5. Add Chocolate Drizzle: If using, melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the candy cool at room temperature until set, about 1 hour. Cut into bars or break into chunks to serve.

Notes

  • For a salty-sweet twist, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top while the candy is still warm.
  • This treat can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
