Description

This Pampered Chef Chicken & Broccoli Braid is a delicious and impressive dish that’s perfect for a family dinner or a gathering with friends. The combination of tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and flavorful seasonings wrapped in a flaky crescent roll crust is sure to be a hit!

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast (chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Pampered Chef All-Purpose Dill Mix or dried dill
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Braid:

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz each)
  • 1 egg white (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, mix together the chopped chicken, broccoli, red bell pepper, cheese, mayonnaise, dill mix, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble the Braid: Unroll the crescent dough and arrange the triangles to form a rectangle. Spread the chicken mixture down the center. Cut strips on each side and fold over the filling to create a braided look.
  4. Bake: Brush with egg white, sprinkle with almonds if using, and bake for 25-28 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a shortcut, use rotisserie chicken.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for some or all of the mayo.
  • To make ahead, prepare the braid and refrigerate until ready to bake.
