Crescent Rolls:
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Filling:
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeños (seeded and finely diced)
- 4 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash – optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the rolls: Unroll the crescent dough, separate into triangles, spoon filling onto each, roll up, and seal.
- Bake: Place rolls on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg if desired, and bake for 12–14 minutes until golden.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute cooked sausage or turkey bacon for the bacon, or omit it for a vegetarian version.
- For extra heat, leave some jalapeño seeds in.
