For the dough:
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the sauce and toppings:
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Favorite toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Prepare the dough: Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until foamy. Mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth.
- Rise the dough: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven: Preheat to 475°F. Roll out dough, place on pan.
- Add toppings: Spread sauce, cheese, and toppings on dough. Sprinkle with oregano.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brush crust with garlic butter before baking.
- You can make the dough ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
