Peach Lemonade:
- 4 ripe peaches (pitted and chopped)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup ice
- peach slices and lemon wheels for garnish (optional)
- fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend the Peaches: In a blender, combine the chopped peaches and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the Puree: Pour the peach puree through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove any pulp.
- Add Lemon Juice and Sugar: Add the lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix in Water and Ice: Stir in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and ice.
- Adjust Sweetness and Chill: Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve: Serve over ice and garnish with peach slices, lemon wheels, or mint if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with chilled club soda just before serving.
- Frozen peaches can be used when fresh ones aren’t in season.
