Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

- Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Add mix-ins: Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.

- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
