- 1/2 cup unsalted vegan butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (dairy-free)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 flax eggs (2 tablespoons ground flaxseed + 5 tablespoons water)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For Decorating:
- White icing or melted dairy-free white chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare flax eggs: Mix ground flaxseed with water in a small bowl and set aside to thicken for 5 minutes.
- Melt butter and chocolate: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the vegan butter and chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
- Add sugars and cocoa: Remove from heat and whisk in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Combine ingredients: Add the flax eggs and mix until fully incorporated. Stir in the flour and baking powder just until combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28–32 minutes until set.
- Cool and decorate: Cool completely before cutting into football shapes and decorating with icing or white chocolate.
Notes
- For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake the brownies.
- You can also fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chunks before baking.
