Instructions
- Cook Potatoes: Place potato chunks in a large pot, cover with cold water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Simmer until very tender, about 15–20 minutes.
- Mash Potatoes: Drain well and return potatoes to the hot pot. Mash until smooth using a masher or ricer.
- Add Ingredients: Stir in softened butter until melted. Gradually add warm milk and heavy cream, stirring until creamy.
- Season and Serve: Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic. Serve hot with extra butter if desired.
