Dry Ingredients:

- 1 cup sour cream

Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare muffin tin with liners or grease.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Whisk Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk egg, sour cream, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine: Add wet ingredients to dry, stir until just combined. Fold in chopped apples.
- Bake: Divide batter into muffin cups, bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.
Notes
- You can use any firm apple variety like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
- For extra sweetness and crunch, sprinkle coarse sugar or a cinnamon sugar mixture on top before baking.
