- 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed or chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and flaxseed or chia if using.
- Blend wet and dry ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Cool and slice: Let cool in the pan before slicing into bars.
