Description

Indulge in the rich, intense flavor of these Dark Chocolate Coffee Truffles. A perfect blend of dark chocolate and espresso, these truffles are a decadent treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffles:

  • 8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Coating:

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chocolate Mixture: Place chopped dark chocolate in a bowl. Heat cream, butter, espresso powder, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan until hot. Pour over chocolate, let sit, then stir until smooth.
  2. Chill Mixture: Refrigerate chocolate mixture until firm enough to scoop, about 2-3 hours.
  3. Shape Truffles: Scoop portions and roll into balls. Coat each truffle in cocoa powder.
  4. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate truffles for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use instant coffee instead of espresso powder for a milder flavor.
  • Store truffles in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
