- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated Asiago cheese
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
For Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and sauté garlic. Pour in chicken broth, then add cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, then add Asiago cheese. Stir until melted and slightly thickened.
- Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
