- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Additional:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare cream cheese filling: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture over half of the pastry. Fold the pastry in half and press gently to seal.
- Prepare cinnamon sugar topping: Combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Brush the pastry with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Cut and twist: Slice the pastry into 1-inch wide strips. Twist each strip gently and place on the baking sheet.
- Finish and bake: Beat the egg and brush over the twists. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
