Filling:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup finely shredded green cabbage
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wrappers and Cooking:
- 30 round dumpling wrappers
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
- Fill the Wrappers: Place a dumpling wrapper in your palm, add filling, moisten edges, fold, and pleat to seal.
- Cook the Potstickers: Pan-fry potstickers until golden, then add water, cover, and steam until cooked through.
- Serve: Remove lid and let excess water cook off. Repeat with remaining potstickers. Serve hot with soy sauce or dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can freeze uncooked potstickers in a single layer on a tray, then transfer to a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Cook from frozen, adding an extra 2–3 minutes steaming time.
