For the Casserole:
- 1½ lbs cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Topping:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine chicken, marinara sauce, and pasta. Season, then pour into baking dish.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Mix breadcrumbs, butter, seasoning, and garlic powder. Sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden. Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish and serve.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken or leftover grilled chicken for convenience.
