Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Strips:

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken tenders or chicken breasts (cut into strips)

Breading Mixture:

  • 4 cups crushed Cheetos (regular or Flamin’ Hot)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Egg Wash:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Others:

  • Nonstick cooking spray or oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare Cheetos coating: Place the crushed Cheetos in a shallow bowl.
  3. Prepare flour mixture: In a second bowl, mix the flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Whisk egg mixture: In a third bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  5. Coat chicken strips: Dredge each chicken strip first in the seasoned flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally press into the crushed Cheetos until fully coated.
  6. Bake: Place the coated strips on the prepared baking sheet, spray the tops with nonstick spray, and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, use a wire rack on the baking sheet.
  • These can also be air-fried at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  • Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
