- 2 cups diced apples (peeled and cored)

- 1 package (about 6 ounces) mini phyllo cups or shortbread tart shells
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Whipped cream for topping
- Crushed pecans for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are tender and coated in syrup.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Arrange phyllo cups or tart shells on a serving platter.
- Spoon the apple mixture evenly into each cup. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed pecans if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- These are best assembled right before serving to keep the shells crisp.
- You can use store-bought or homemade caramel sauce.
- For a twist, add a splash of apple brandy or bourbon to the apples while cooking.
