Description

These Burger Bowls are a deconstructed twist on a classic burger, served in a bowl for a healthier, low-carb alternative. Packed with all your favorite burger toppings and a delicious burger sauce, this recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burger Bowls:

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 or lean)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • ½ cup red onion (sliced)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup dill pickles (sliced)
  • 1 avocado (sliced)

For the Burger Sauce:

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Season ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  2. Make the Burger Sauce: Whisk together ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and pickle juice in a small bowl.
  3. Assemble the Bowls: Divide lettuce among 4 bowls. Top with ground beef, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cheese, pickles, and avocado. Drizzle with burger sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a low-carb or keto version, skip the ketchup or use sugar-free alternatives.
  • Ground turkey or plant-based crumbles can be used as a beef substitution.
