Brown Sugar Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Stir constantly until the butter melts and the mixture begins to bubble.
  2. Continue to cook and stir for 4–5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
