Main Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped broccoli florets, steamed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Coating:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, plain breadcrumbs, green onions, eggs, garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Form Balls: Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls. Coat each ball in panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate the coated balls for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Fry: Heat oil in a skillet, then fry the balls until golden brown and crisp, about 2–3 minutes per batch.
  5. Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes or air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
  • Frozen broccoli can be used if fresh is unavailable—just ensure it’s well-drained.
