Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the oil, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Combine and Fold: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples and nuts if desired.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the loaf pan, smooth the top, and bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
