Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat or full-fat)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ teaspoons baking powder + ¼ teaspoon salt)
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) unflavored or vanilla whey protein powder

Egg Wash and Toppings:

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional toppings: everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix Dough: In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, self-rising flour, and protein powder. Knead until a dough forms.
  2. Shape Bagels: Divide the dough into 4 pieces, roll each into a rope, and form into rings. Seal the ends together.
  3. Prep Air Fryer: Preheat to 330°F.
  4. Egg Wash: Beat egg, brush over bagels, add desired toppings.
  5. Air Fry: Place bagels in the basket, air fry at 330°F for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

  • Flavored protein powder can be used, but it may alter the taste.
  • For dairy-free, use plant-based yogurt and vegan protein powder.
  • Bagels are best fresh but can be stored for 2–3 days in an airtight container.
